Altcar Ranges

The Northwest Reserve Forces & Cadets Association (NW RFCA) owns and operates this range.

There are 8 ranges in use offering distances from 100 to 1000 yards, however, only a selection of ranges and distances are available for civilian club use as shown below.

 

To shoot at Altcar you must have attended an 'MoD Range Assessment Course' prior to attendance dates are on the wall in our clubhouse.

Access to Altcar requires a pass to gain entry and a temporary pass (valid for 6 months) will be provided to you after you complete the MoD Range Assessment Course.

 

Typical dates we shoot at Altcar are the 1st Sunday each month however, this does change so make sure you check the calendar below.
 

You will be allocated duties on signing on; RCOs, Butts,   Lookouts.
